Personal Bio
Natalie is the daughter of Pat and Shelley Dettmer. She has 3 younger brothers: Jackson 11, Carson 8, and Tyson 6, in addition to her dog Rudy 2. Her basketball career began in the YMCA and Small Fry leagues before joining the Cornhusker Shooting Stars in 2007.
Off the court, Natalie has excelled in both the classroom and other extracurricular activities. She has achieved all “A”s while taking differentiated coursework and qualified in multiple areas to participate in the Duke University TIP (Talent Identification Program). Natalie plays the tenor saxophone in her school’s jazz band and this past year, was selected as one of only 2 tenor sax players in the state to participate in the Nebraska Honor Band.
During the 4 years that she has been involved with CSS, Natalie has improved her basketball skills dramatically, but has gained as much if not more in developing the life skills that she will take with her after her basketball career is over. Her interaction will all of the coaches and players involved with CSS has been a very enjoyable and rewarding experience throughout.
